The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at Alexandra Hospital provides 24-hour care for patients with acute undifferentiated conditions, including medical emergencies, offering shorter waiting times than traditional Emergency Departments for non-critical cases. It is staffed by emergency medicine specialists and emergency-trained nurses, and collaborates with primary care partners via the NUHS GPFirst programme. The UCC also includes a UCC Review Clinic (URC) for follow-up care and an Extended Diagnostic Treatment Unit (EDTU) for extended care up to 24 hours with Medisave-claimable stays. Located within Alexandra Hospital in Singapore, it is part of the National University Health System (NUHS) and accepts eligible non-life-threatening SCDF-conveyed cases on weekdays and public holidays. Charges start from $145.75 after 50% government subsidy, covering consultation, X-ray, basic lab tests, and standard medication.
